As one of the two original purchasers of the EcoVillage property, Dave is committed to building a resilient community. A sense of community leads to feeling more powerful in the larger world and having a greater potential to solve problems collectively. Dave is very active in many area nonprofits that promote and support healthy lifestyles and environmental responsibility.
Joanie has been co-owner of EcoVillage since 2014. Through a variety of professional and personal activities, Joanie warmly encourages others to become active in finding solutions to the problems the world is facing. She is passionate about reframing our relationships with the environment and interdependence in our communities.
With 35 years of building and developing real estate in Charlottesville, Tom is the charismatic, innovative developer of EcoVillage Charlottesville. Over time, Tom has become increasingly passionate about designing neighborhoods to foster community and environmental sustainability. Tom values creative design, quality construction, and repurposing reclaimed materials when he can.
Chris is a Professional Architectural Engineer with a passion for and experience in designing pocket neighborhoods, net zero energy housing, and regenerative landscapes. He is committed to designing a resilient, beautiful, and community-focused ecovillage with strong connections with the natural world.
Fred is the principal of Oesch Environmental Design, a Design/Build firm currently specializing in ecovillages and sustainable communities. He is contributing Land Planning and Architectural Design for EcoVillage Charlottesville. He shares the collective vision and endeavor to help nurture the ecovillage community by manifesting a new state-of-the-art environmentally conscious and replicable model for the region and the world at large.
